This Azteca is always great! Whether it be with my family, with friends or for large dinner parties! This location is on top of it! Food is always excellent the service is superb. I highly recommend this place. My personal favorite is the Carne Asada, the tortilla soup or my wife's shrimp fajitas!

So i end up here at Azteca with a friend. Been here many times but this time the service, quality, and overall experience was completely lackluster.
The servers catered more towards people of the white. -

I cannot believe how miserable the service was at this place. I ordered in Spanish of all things as a Puerto Rican trying to enjoy the food at this place a pricey a-- shrimp cocktail while my friend orders a tacos meal. I noticed that the waiter gave me a look after I ordered the shrimp cocktail. I even made sure to ask him what it comes with just to make sure I understood it to be what I had in mind as a standard cold Mexican shrimp cocktail. When my order comes out it's the hot version and i ask the waiter to have it remade cold. This SOBs however just ends up sticking it in the fridge to cool it down and then serves it back to me.
I then get the manager's attention and tell her what's happening and she comes up with the ridiculous notion that, that's what they thought I wanted that instead hot I wanted a lukewarm shrimp cocktail...
Then they insisted that I get something else and go figure to charge me for it. I brought up how ridiculous that was and she remained unapologetic.

This is probably the worst restaurant for getting reservations for large groups. We called more than 2 hours in advance and set a time for 7:15.
When we showed up they claimed first that we had not called. Then that we had said it was the wrong branch. Then they could not accommodate us because we did not call AGAIN an hour in advance to reserve our reservation? WTH?
Whole lot of stories, and shifting the blame to the customer-- probably can't be trusted to get your order right anyway. Idiotic situation.
And no sympathy or help from the manager or anyone. Did not car one iota -

I've been eating at Aztecas since I was in high school. I am now in my 30s and I still end up coming here despite how many Mexican Restaurants there are now. I usually go to the Tukwila or Burien location. Both locations have friendly and fast service. I come here so often one of the servers at the Burien location remembers me.
Carne Asada is one of my favorite meals. Before I became allergic to shellfish a couple years ago I use to get the Carne a Asada Y Mojo (which was shrimp with mushrooms and onion in garlic chili butter) since then I have just been getting the garlic chili butter and dip my steak in it and it's so good!
Here we had the Carne Asada and the Plato Mexicano. Both comes in what they consider dinner size servings which are really generous portions and make really good leftovers.
